Happy Hippos in Clayton has a dedicated, gated soft play area for children under 3, separate from the big play frame. Crawlers 12 months and under play free, children 1–2 years are $9.99 on weekdays, and adults are always free.

Designed for crawlers and new walkers

The toddler zone has soft climbing blocks, a gentle slide, tunnels and sensory panels at toddler height. Everything is padded and cleaned daily. Because it is gated, bigger children stay in their own areas, so parents can relax a little more.

It is ideal for babies building confidence, toddlers who love to climb and siblings who want to play near each other.

Toddler prices and hours

Weekday entry is $9.99 for children 1–2 years and $11.99 for children 2–14 years. On weekends and public holidays it is $11.49 and $13.49, with a mothers group rate of $8.99. Crawlers 12 months and under play free, adults are always free, and grip socks are compulsory at $5.50 a pair.

We are open 7 days: Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am–4:30pm, and public holidays 10am–3pm (please check availability).

When to visit with a toddler

Weekday mornings from 9am to 11am are the quietest time. Many parents come straight after the morning nap and stay for lunch. School holidays and wet weekends are busier, so the mornings are best then too.

Food for little ones

Our cafe serves Kids Happy Meals (small $9.95, large $11.95), toast, muffins, fruit-friendly snacks and babycinos, plus barista coffee and breakfast for parents. Dairy-free milk is available for $0.70.

Parents travel from Clayton, Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Oakleigh, Mulgrave, Springvale and Keysborough. We are on the Princes Highway with free parking out the front.
