What is included in a Happy Hippos party

Our most popular party rooms — Princess, Dinosaur and Under Water — are $279 for eight children and include full-day play, a 1.5-hour private room, a dedicated host, three kids menu food items, fries, chips, cordial and water, and complimentary small coffees for the birthday child's parents. Premium Disco and Baking rooms are $369 with two hosts. Extra children are $27.90 each including food and entry, and there is no limit on adults.

Party extras include Musical Chairs ($10), Pass the Parcel, a 900g frozen party cake ($25) and lolly bags ($3.99 each). Customised decorations are available on request.

Choosing a party room

The Princess room is soft pinks and sparkles; the Dinosaur room is a prehistoric jungle; Under Water is full of sea creatures. For older children, the premium Disco room adds glow sticks, dress-ups, dancing and a free present for every child, while the Baking Room lets kids make their own pizza and cookies with two hosts helping.

Most families from Clayton, Mulgrave and Notting Hill pick the theme their child is obsessed with that year — you can view photos of each room before booking.

Party times

Weekday parties start at 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm. On Saturdays and Sundays the last standard start is 3pm. Each party is 90 minutes in the room, followed by a 30-minute buffer so your group never feels rushed. There is also a Private Party slot every evening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Booking and deposit

Pick your date, room, time and food online in a few minutes. A $100 deposit secures the booking, and the remaining balance is paid on the day. Weekend dates in school terms fill two to three weeks ahead, so book early for Saturdays.

Families come from all over the south-east

Clayton is central, so it is an easy meeting point for guests from Oakleigh, Springvale, Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Dandenong, Keysborough and Noble Park. The venue is on the Princes Highway with free parking and is a short drive from Clayton Station.
