Toddlers love to climb. Couch cushions on the floor or a soft play centre give them a safe place to practise. Our gated under-3s area has low platforms and gentle slides.
Music and movement
Dance, clap and play simple instruments. Songs with actions help with language and rhythm.
Pretend play
A toy kitchen, dolls or cars let toddlers copy everyday life. Join in and narrate what they are doing.
Outings that suit little legs
Short trips work best: a library storytime, a park with a toddler swing or a play centre visit after nap time. Weekday mornings are the quietest at Happy Hippos.

Mothers groups often meet at play centres. We offer a weekend mothers group rate of $8.99, and crawlers 12 months and under are free.
